Solmar Consulting and Korkia start solar power development project in Pöytyä, Finland

Solmar Consulting and Korkia have started planning a solar farm project in Pöytyä. The project will have a total capacity of around 65-70 MWp and is planned for the Mustanoja area of Pöytyä. The total output of the solar farm will correspond to the annual consumption of about 3,200-3,500 electrically heated detached houses. This is an important project for the municipality of Pöytyä for the development of renewable energy and the green transition.

The environmental, stormwater, and soil surveys required for the construction permit will be conducted in the Mustanoja area during summer 2024. The preparation of the construction permit application will begin in the fall, and the construction schedule for the solar power park will be specified as the project progresses.

Renewable energy can attract new business to the municipality

The project has been prepared since summer 2023 together with landowners and the municipality, and land lease agreements have been signed for the solar power park area. Discussions have also been held with the local electricity distribution company.
